Renati

There are several custom versions of the Android Open Source Project for individuals that value their privacy. But for those that need a no-compromise, security-first mobile OS to handle their most sensitive data, Renati is the only option. It takes an unprecedented level of detail to modify AOSP and underlying hardware integrations to remove every conceivable attack vector.

I was brought on to develop the UX, UI, and design of all aspects of the brand. On the product side, I helped to customize the operating system by modifying existing processes to accommodate the new security standards, develop default apps, and reskinning several aspects of the UI to make a cohesive and complete digital product.

On the branding side, I helped bring the identity across the finish line by refining the icon and wordmark, and then creating a whole foundation for visual style to position Renati as a premium product. This was implemented across a micro site that integrated several forms of media (including the design of icons and animations) for a rich web experience.

In the physical realm, I developed several pieces that maintained a high-end aesthetic and print quality. This included a product feature brochure, leave behinds, and promotional items. Particularly of note was the bespoke limited edition beta retail box, made in collaboration with the fine gentlemen over at Dubltap Creative, that included custom branded USB cables and exclusive access cards.
